Impact of wife's employment on family life: Challenges and issues and their solutions

Abstract

As husband and wife are the first stakeholders in the family and society, who are determined to lead their lives together as one, they have to face various challenges in the world. Sometimes these challenges are economic, and sometimes social, but in both cases, the real root cause is often the economy, which requires the best economic planning for its stability. Today, there is a global economic crisis, which has made it necessary for both husband and wife to seek employment. In addition, women's employment is sometimes essential for economic reasons, and sometimes for social reasons, and on a global scale, it is also a religious necessity. Women are needed in nursing and medicine, just as sometimes there is an economic need for it. Along with employment, employees' children are increasingly being deprived of maternal care and paternal care in general, and day care centers are opening all over the world to take care of employees' children during the day. On one hand, employment is necessary to address the economic crisis, and on the other hand, the upbringing of children is an important issue. Employment has also distanced people from their families, leading to family problems. Then there is also a debate among scholars about whether women can work or not. So, resolving these issues in the light of the Quran and Sunnah can be very beneficial. Therefore, this article attempts to address these challenges.
