This research article provides a comprehensive analytical review of the compulsory Islamic Studies curriculum for Class 10 in Pakistan. The study examines the curriculum’s structure, content, pedagogical components, and alignment with contemporary educational requirements. The curriculum is analyzed across seven key domains: Qur’an and Hadith, Faith and Worship, Seerah, Ethics and Manners, Sources of Guidance in Islam, Societal and Civic Education, and Islamic Teachings in Contemporary Contexts. Each domain is evaluated in terms of learning outcomes (SLOs), teaching methodologies, student engagement activities, and assessment strategies, highlighting the strengths and limitations in addressing modern challenges. Particular attention is given to conceptual clarity, character formation, and integration of Islamic worldview within the curriculum. This study employs a qualitative content analysis method, drawing on primary sources, including the official curriculum documents, and secondary sources from contemporary educational research. The findings suggest that while the curriculum provides a robust foundation in Islamic knowledge, certain areas require enhanced linkage to contemporary social, ethical, and technological contexts. Recommendations are made to improve curricular relevance, critical engagement, and the practical application of Islamic teachings in students’ daily lives.
