Abstract

This article conducts a comprehensive isnadi review of the hadiths cited in the preface of Raddul Muhtar by Ibne Abideen Shami. Raddul Muhtar is a seminal work in Hanafi jurisprudence, and its preface introduces hadiths that underpin its legal arguments and doctrinal positions. This study meticulously examines the chains of transmission (isnad) of these hadiths to assess their authenticity and scholarly acceptance. By scrutinizing the reliability of the narrators and the coherence of the hadiths' transmission, the article aims to provide a critical evaluation of the hadiths' role in shaping the legal and theological framework presented by Ibne Abideen Shami. The findings offer insights into the hadith’s influence on Hanafi jurisprudence and contribute to a deeper understanding of the methodological rigor employed in classical Islamic scholarship.
