Qualities of Preacher required in Modern Era

Abstract

             The preaching of Islam spreads understanding of it and gives guidance to right path, it’s the true happiness, a reminder, a key to understanding, a way forward to knowledge, a step to act and a mission of many prophets and messengers of Allah. The preacher is the basic pillar of the Muslim community; it is he who interacts others with sincerity to bring change in the society. The act of preaching is a pedagogical principle derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The preaching is a path which is followed by the Messenger of Allah during his life. He guided the people towards true religion and obedience. The act of preaching in Islam is based on the true understanding of Islam and keeping in view the status of the invitee to make the preaching more effective. In view of the importance of this topic I have decided to write about characteristics of the true preachers in the present era. The study is divided into two chapters. The first chapter will highlights deeds which a preacher must do before preaching. The second chapter will focus on behavior of a preacher during the act of preaching.
