Abstract

Muslims have paid great attention to the Holy Qur’an, studying, memorizing and interpreting it in various parts of the world. Scholars from the beginning of Islam, such as the Companions, the Successors, and those who came after them, served the Book of God and interpreted it, taking into account the needs of their times and addressing the calamities of their eras. Qur’anic activities began in the Indian subcontinent since the introduction of Islam there. The scholars of the Indian subcontinent developed the interpretive heritage in their languages, Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Sindhi, and other languages, according to the requirements of the era, its requirements, its challenges, and its innovations. Very wonderful scientific explanations emerged from their hands. Among these commentators are those who have completed its interpretation, some of them have not completed it, and some of them are interested in interpreting a particular surah. Among these notables who completed their interpretation is Sheikh Abdul Salam bin Muhammad, the author of the interpretation of “Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an.” In his interpretation, the Sheikh addressed scientific discussions and addressed doubts and challenges about Islam in general and in the Holy Qur’an in particular. The topic of my research will be “Sheikh Abdul Salam bin Muhammad’s approach to his interpretation of the Holy Qur’an and its most prominent advantages.
